Mohamed Salah has vowed to continue to ignore the complainers and believes Diogo Jota is making life easier for Liverpool’s three forwards.
Salah is expected to take part in Atalanta’s visit to the Champions League on Wednesday, as he missed the weekend’s win over Leicester City after testing positive for coronavirus.
The Egyptian hopes to continue his goalscoring form after scoring 10 goals in 13 games, his best start to the season at Liverpool.
Eight have made it to the Premier League with Salah in the opening race for the Golden Boot award he won in 2018 and shared 12 months later.
And when asked about his hopes for a personal hat-trick, the Reds forward had a message for his critics.
“I think it is difficult to do it the first time, but it is more difficult to do it a second time and even more difficult to do it a third time,” Salah said.
“Some people will always complain. They will say ‘he’s good at it but he’s not good at that part’.
“You just have to go ahead and do your thing and I’m very proud to be doing that.
“Goals, assists … I feel good about it and even though it’s a bit more difficult, it’s our job and we have to go out there and act.
“It was important to win those individual awards, but I always say that the Premier League, the Champions League and the team trophies come first.
“The ambition for me is to win both. We won the Champions League alone and then the Premier League last season. My ambition is to win both (in the same season).”
In Salah’s absence, Diogo Jota played on the right wing against Leicester and scored the second goal for Jurgen Klopp’s team.
The Portuguese has now scored eight times in 12 appearances since his initial £ 41 million move from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

And Salah believes the new kid has already helped ease the burden on himself and fellow strikers Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
“We are happy for him,” he said. “As teammates, we’re trying to push each other every day in training, so seeing someone come in and score goals also makes you happy for him because you feel like he’s going to help your team and make it easier for us.
“Hopefully that will happen over and over again. Scoring a few goals is a good way to start here, perhaps with confidence.”
“Having someone else who can score goals is a great option for us. Now with Diogo we can play four together or we can still play three.”
Liverpool’s victory placed them on the same level as the first Premier League leaders Tottenham Hotspur, with just seven points covering the top 12.
The games are still played behind closed doors, although the Reds could see as many as 4,000 fans at Anfield starting next month under new government proposals.

And speaking to Liverpool’s official matchday program, Salah said: “This season has been crazy. The amount of goals I never expected and playing without fans, of course, is crazy.
“I think the fans make a big difference, you know. The fans give the games a different atmosphere and they give you a different motivation, so I can say this is the main reason for some crazy results.
“There is also some pressure for us because Virgil (van Dijk) used to play every game for the last few years, but now he’s injured. Meanwhile, other players have to act. I think the young players have done well.”
