Police have named a man who was found dead in a home in Gwynedd, prompting a murder investigation.
Dafydd Thomas died after an incident at a property in the Minffordd area near Penrhyndeudraeth on Thursday afternoon.
In a statement issued through the North Wales Police, his devastated family said: “We, the family, are trying to come to terms with the loss of a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
“Dafydd’s wider family is also devastated by his passing under such tragic circumstances.
“He will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his hard work as a local businessman and his charitable fundraising.”
Investigations in the area continue today after the death of Mr. Thomas.
A man is currently in police custody in connection with the incident.
North Wales Police said yesterday: “Unfortunately we can confirm that we are investigating the murder of a man in Minffordd, Penrhyndeudraeth.
“Our thoughts and condolences go out to the family, who are supported by specially trained officers.
“A man is currently in custody and there are no current concerns for public safety.”

Members of the public were urged to avoid the area when armed police officers descended on the scene and searched the nearby area.
Anyone with information on what happened has been asked to contact the police on 101, or via live web chat, citing reference number Z040635.
