Who wants to be a millionaire? Winner Donald Fear has revealed plans to donate most of his winnings to charity.

The humble 57-year-old Donald, who became the sixth winner of the ITV contest, said that he ‘wouldn’t know how to spend’ the six-figure sum on himself and that he is putting 70% of the money towards good causes and trying her four children; Cat 31, Ali 30, Izzy 26, Chris 22.

The teacher also said that he wants to stay in his position until the end of the term, as it would be ‘unfair to his A-level students not to’, and then enjoy a ‘comfortable retirement’ with his wife Deb.

“To be honest, if I had a million pounds, I would have no idea how to spend it. I could buy an Aston Martin, for example, but I could get into the thing, but I could never get out of it. I’m fat!

“The only other thing you could spend that amount of money on would be to move house, but I am very happy with our house.

“It’s in a beautiful area and we’ve been there 27 years and we have lovely neighbors, so why move anywhere else? So I prefer to keep the money and give it to the people I love.

“An RV is the only purchase on the horizon. Things can happen to me and I can spend money in Britain, but on small and trivial things. “

The moment Donald found out he had won the jackpot

Donald returned to Haberdashers Adams Elementary School in Newport, Shropshire after his victory and said he plans to remain in his teaching position until December.

Then he will retire two years earlier than originally planned.

As homework, Donald gave his students the exercise of watching his appearance on the show, but decided not to tell them how much he had earned.

Students will have the opportunity to question him about his new fortune on Monday.

He said: “I quit the day after the show, the rules are that you have to leave at the end of the term, but I would never investigate the possibility of whether it was possible not to come back at all. How unfair would they have been to my A-level students?

“They are amazing people and that would have completely disappointed them. So what I have said is that I will do this term and make sure that my Year 13 students are not lost in any way. And I’ll make sure all twelve are released. It never occurred to me not to come back at all. “

Donald said he wanted to get back to work so he wouldn’t disappoint his students.

Donald’s brother Davyth, whom he described as his ‘hero and best friend’ appeared on the show last year and gave away a portion of his prize.

After passing the million pound question when he didn’t know the answer, Davyth earned a still impressive £ 500,000, 40% of which he gifted to his family, making sure his nieces and nephews were treated generously.

Host Jeremy Clarkson said he was totally “blown away” by Donald during his time on the bench.

“It’s like sitting next to the Internet” because his victory was very smooth and he seemed very informed, “he said.

Host Clarkson said he was ‘in awe’ of Donald

He said Donald is probably the best participant the show has ever had in its 22-year history.

“It was a pleasure to sit back and watch it unfold. It seemed like we went through 15 questions and all of a sudden confetti fell from the ceiling and I was like ‘You just won a million pounds.’

“I wasn’t sure I could utter those six immortal words and I’m not ashamed to say it was a little emotional, but boy, did it feel good.”
