Another boat carrying migrants was intercepted by Border Drive off the Kent coast following an increase in the variety of incidents in recent days.

More than 227 people have crossed the English Channel since Friday, with an additional 44 immigrants that French officials prevented them from crossing.

About 17 people are believed to have been on board the latest ship.

Immigration Compliance Minister Chris Philp said the latest improvement at the crossings was “completely unacceptable.”

He said it was “disgusting that smugglers are interested in endangering people’s lives, along with children.”

Philp stated that the federal government was “stepping up the motion to stop the crossings, prosecuting criminals who perpetrated these heinous crimes and prosecuting them for their practice in prison.”
