Former Brexit Party MEP Ann Widdecombe argued that Boris Johnson has made the wrong decisions to safeguard a bright future for Brexit in Britain. While speaking with Martin Daubney and Lucy’s Belinda from Brexit Unlocked, Widdecombe said that Michel Barnier and the EU were now laughing at Britain. He insisted that Boris Johnson should have walked away from the negotiating table as a way to force the EU to adhere to the UK’s Brexit red lines.
Daubney initially asked how Ms Widdecombe felt about the pantomime of the Brexit trade talks and the UK’s advance towards the end of the transition period.
Ms. Widdecome said, “The point of a pantomime is to make people laugh.
“I can’t believe that anyone, no matter what their standard is, is laughing at the Brexit negotiations, except possibly Ursula von der Leyen or Michel Barnier.
“This is because in the end they know, in the end, that after all this they are going to get what they want.

Widdecombe continued to attack Boris Johnson for his lack of Brexit success as prime minister.
He highlighted the changes he would have told him to make to ensure the best Brexit outcome in Britain.
She continued, “I really can’t think when you pantomime because pantomime is meant to be a lighthearted thing that makes people laugh.
She said: “I think Boris Johnson will betray Brexit and the signs have been there.
“He has missed the numerous deadlines.
“If we had really walked in late June, I think we would have had a deal by now.”
