The Met Office warned that parts of Cheshire could experience flooding this week, leading to a wet end in October.
Weather fronts will bring unstable weather across the country with heavy rains and gusty winds.
Two days of yellow rain weather warnings have been issued from 12 p.m. Thursday (October 29) to 11:59 p.m. Friday (October 30).
Accumulations of 30 to 80mm of rain could fall across Cheshire, potentially causing “ deep or fast-flowing flooding and life-threatening. ”
Severe weather could also lead to difficult driving conditions and road closures.
Chief Meteorologist Andy Page said: “It is rain rather than wind that will dominate our attention later in the week with a so-called ‘warm carrier’ set up to bring a very humid and warm airflow into the UK from further south. from the Atlantic, causing heavy rains on high ground in the west of the UK.
“We have issued a yellow warning covering parts of Wales and North West England for Thursday and Friday as additional rains in these areas can cause impacts, including flooding.”
