The Met Office has issued another weather advisory, and more snow is expected to hit the region in the next 24 hours.

The yellow warning for snow and ice has been extended until tomorrow morning (Tuesday, December 29).

The region was covered in a yellow snow warning this morning. That was going to last until 6pm.

The Met Office now says that adverse winter conditions could continue through to 10 a.m. tomorrow.

Parts of Greater Manchester and Cheshire woke up to heavy snow cover on the holiday Monday.

The Met Office has extended its snow and ice weather advisory

Urmston and Altrincham in Trafford appeared to be the hardest hit, with parts of Cheshire receiving more than a light coating of dust.

The dangerous conditions have already caused problems on the motorway network, including the M60, M6 and M56, and on some local roads.

The Met Office said the latest weather advisory will lead to the development of icy surfaces, with some snow in some places.

“Some slip and fall injuries on icy surfaces and probably some icy patches on untreated roads, pavements and bike lanes,” authorities said.

The latest Met Office weather advisory comes when Public Health England issued a cold weather alert for parts of northern England.

He said the severe weather forecast for parts of England has prompted him to issue the advisory, which reminds people how to stay well in cold conditions.

The North West, West Midlands and Yorkshire and the Humber have experienced the coldest weather since Sunday morning.

Tonight is likely to bring scattered winter rains that will continue into the night.

Clear skies overnight are expected to bring widespread frost and icy patches through Tuesday morning, with a low temperature of -2 ° C.

The rest of the day will be dry for most of the region, with sunny spells everywhere.

Temperatures are expected to stay cool with a new frost overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday (December 30).
