Met Office expects more snow to fall in parts of Devon tonight

The Met Office says there is a chance for more snow to fall in Devon tonight.

Snow began to fall over parts of Dartmoor and eastern Cornwall last night, leaving parts of the moorland white.

The snow, along with a marked drop in temperature, has been catching some unsuspecting motorists.

The police have urged people to exercise caution and drive according to conditions.

Now, Exeter-based Met Office predicts more snow could start to fall at 5 p.m.

Princetown

Certainly one of the places in Devon that sees the most snow, it might come as no surprise to see more white matter forecasts for this Dartmoor village.

Although the Met Office predicts that it will be sunny for the next two hours, it will soon turn cloudy and snow could follow at 6 p.m.

It seems likely that it will turn into heavy rains overnight, which will continue into the morning.

Postbridge

Snow could hit Postbridge as early as 5 p.m., according to the Met Office.

Okehampton

Like Postbridge, Okehampton could start to see snow in the late afternoon.
