Earlier this week, Prince Harry weighed in in the November presidential election with a speech urging Americans to “reject hate speech, misinformation and negativity online.” The odds of Meghan running for president of the Betfair bookmakers have dropped to 20/1.
There is already a long history of people with experience in show business entering American politics.
Current President Donald Trump, a businessman, saw his public profile grow as he hosted 14 seasons of The Apprentice from 2004.
Ronald Reagan, president from 1981 to 1989, originally had a successful acting career.
Speaking to The Mirror, Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said: “A year ago, it would have been virtually impossible for Meghan to run for president, but since she left her royal duties in January, the odds have plummeted to 20 /one.
“With sources saying that he is ‘seriously’ considering entering politics, it seems increasingly likely that we will see his name on the ballot in 2024.”
The claim that Meghan is “seriously” considering running for president was made by one of her associates.
Speaking to Vanity Fair, they said: “One of the reasons she was so willing not to give up her US citizenship was that she had the option of going into politics.
“I think if Meghan and Harry ever gave up their titles, she would seriously consider running for president.”

“When the bad outweighs the good, for many, whether we realize it or not, it erodes our capacity for compassion and our capacity to put ourselves in someone else’s shoes.
“Because when a person buys negativity online, the effects are felt exponentially. It is time to not only reflect, but to act. “
Meghan also spoke up and described the upcoming poll as “the most important choice of our life.”
He added: “When we vote, our values are put into practice and our voices are heard.”
Meghan has spoken out against Donald Trump before calling him “misogynistic” during an interview in 2016.
The president responded to the Duke and Duchess during a press conference at the White House.
Referring to Meghan, he said: “I’m not a fan of hers. And I would say this, and she probably heard that.
“But I wish Harry the best of luck. He’s going to need it. “
Meghan and Harry moved to California after stepping down as senior members of the Royal Family.
The couple recently moved into a new £ 11.2 million home in North Los Angeles.
