MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry were criticized today by Loose Women for “abandoning the British people” as the panel discussed their new book.
The ITV women were discussing the couple’s upcoming biography, Finding Freedom: The Making of a Modern Royal Family, to be released in August.
When asked if he would give her a read, Saira Khan said, “I was a big fan of Harry and Meghan. When they got married, for me, it was the first mixed marriage in the Royal Family.
“I thought there was a lot of hope and excitement, and then it went dark very quickly.
“I feel like they really abandoned the British people, so I’m not really going to be very interested in what they’re doing.”
“They have abandoned us”
She added: “For many of us who were fans of Harry and Meghan, I feel like they abandoned us. They left us, left the family, and left this country.”
Finding Freedom, which was written by journalists Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, goes online on August 11 and in hard copy on August 20.
Speaking of its release, Jane Moore said: “They’ve rejected the British so much, not everyone, but I think most of the British public thinks, ‘Well, then if you don’t want us to have something to do with you that’s absolutely fine.’ but why should they go out and buy this book? “
Meghan, 38, and Harry, 35, moved to California in late March after a brief stint in Canada, and are now rumored to be living in the luxurious $ 18 million home of Hollywood tycoon Tyler Perry.
Linda Robson suggested that the next reading was a money order, adding: “What about money? You get a lot of money for these biographies, right? Where does the money go?”
‘TOO MUCH WE DON’T READ’
But Ruth Langsford, who hosted the discussion, admitted that she can’t wait to pick up a copy.
She said: “I am too curious not to read it.
“Maybe we’ll get what they mean in more detail. So I’m thinking maybe I’ll wait until I read it to decide what I think about the way they left the country and how they felt about things.” “
It occurs when a real source revealed that Meghan wants the book out as soon as possible to set the record straight.
The source told MailOnline: “If Meghan got away with it, the book would be released tomorrow instead of three months from now.”
The friend added that Meghan “desperately wants to destroy this image of being a demanding diva who was rude to royal staff members and others in their quest for fame and power.
“She said the book will help her and Harry get a clean slate. Meghan seems to think readers will finally understand the monumental anguish and turmoil she had to endure with a stiff upper lip.”
