Meghan and Harry ‘rubbed Kate and William the wrong way from the start’, says expert | Royal | News

Talking to True Royalty TV, royal commentator Dan Wootton brutally claimed that it was no surprise that Meghan Markle “engineered” a split between Prince Harry and his brother and sister-in-law, Prince William and Kate Middleton. Wootton said that although the Duchess of Sussex was not solely responsible for the breakdown of the relationship between members of the royal family, she has a tendency to “fight” with those close to her.

He said: “She fights with just about anyone close, including her own blood relatives.

“So it’s no surprise that she drew a division between Harry and the people he’s been closest to and trusted his entire life.

“He was so close to William and so close to Kate.

“Now, I’m not saying that you can blame Meghan specifically for the breakdown of that relationship.

“I think both couples rubbed the wrong way from the beginning.”

Echoing Wootton’s comment, former royal press secretary Dickie Arbiter said that Prince Harry he was happy with his role as “spare” in the Royal Family until he met Meghan Markle, who could not accept it.

Mr. Arbiter said: “Their world was their oyster and they ruined it.

“They literally screwed it up, they had everything, I don’t think everything was what Meghan wanted.

“Harry was the replacement and the Cambridges are the heirs, he accepted his role, he was always born for that.

“Until Meghan came along and she couldn’t accept that, she couldn’t accept being in the second row.

“Frankly, Harry’s biggest mistake was leaving the army. He should never have left.”

“As soon as I say in their childhood, they realized it.”

He added: “Prince William drew a lot of strength from the idea that he would be king and would have a great responsibility.

“That kept him going, whereas Harry went backwards from the age of four.

“Once Harry was misbehaving in the back of a car and his babysitter told him to get in shape.

“Harry responded saying that he didn’t need to get in shape because he wouldn’t be king.

“In his teens, Harry begins to resent this typecasting.”
