Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made four changes to the team defeated by Istanbul Basaksehir for today’s Premier League clash against Everton.
Solskjaer confirmed that Victor Lindelof will undergo a late physical fitness test after falling out of the midweek loss, but the Swede is fit enough to start alongside Harry Maguire in center defense.
David de Gea returns to the starting eleven in his place over Dean Henderson, while Alex Telles loses a spot on the team of the day entirely after returning to training on Friday. The Brazilian is not yet in the Premier League and yesterday he was seen on the provisional list for the day.
Summer signing Donny van de Beek retires from the starting lineup when Solskjaer opts for the trusted midfield duo of Scott McTominay and Fred with Paul Pogba named on the bench.
Juan Mata starts again on the right with Mason Greenwood out of the box. Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford start Anthony Martial back after suspension.
United will face Everton
Initial XI – De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw; Fred, McTominay; Mata, Fernandes, Rashford; Martial.
Subs: Henderson, Tuanzebe, James, Matic, Pogba, Van de Beek, Cavani.
