Manchester United will train on Christmas Day before their Boxing Day trip to Leicester … but there will be no turkey or decorations.
Christmas dinner at Carrington was canceled amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and the canteen is off limits to most staff, The Sun reports.
The United stars will meet at their training base around 9:30 am, where they will undergo a 90-minute session under the watchful eye of boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
But the traditional Christmas meal will not take place, and players will return home to spend time with their families before traveling to the East Midlands later that day.
It’s a decisive clash at King Power Stadium with the two high-flying sides separated by just one point before the clash.
Foxes are second in the Premier League, four points behind pace-setting Liverpool, while United are third.
But the Red Devils have a game in hand and are well prepared to launch a first title challenge since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2013.
United are in top form nationally, having won four and drawn one of their last five Premier League games.
They also knocked Everton out of the Carabao Cup in the quarter-final stage at midweek thanks to recent goals from Edinson Cavani and Anthony Martial.
But they will play in the Europa League in the new year after exiting the Champions League courtesy of the defeat at RB Leipzig in their last group match.
