A man who was stabbed in the head on a Liverpool street was reportedly pushing a stroller at the time of the attack.

The 31-year-old victim showed up at the Royal Hospital around 5.30pm Wednesday with a head injury.

He is believed to have been walking through Hatton Garden, just off Dale Street, when he was mugged near the Richmond Hotel.

The area was cordoned off by police and closed until Thursday afternoon while detectives carried out their investigation at the scene.

Witnesses told ECHO that the incident was “terrifying” and when they saw it they “just ran”.

Another person in the area said the victim was pushing a stroller when he was attacked, but there was no clear indication that a child was inside.
