A man was shot in the leg outside a busy pub in Dingle as police cordoned off the area.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Park Road shortly after 9 pm Friday to report that a man had been injured.

A 47-year-old man was found outside The Globe pub, near Laxey Street, before being rushed to hospital.

The victim is being treated for the serious gunshot wound while officers launch an investigation at the scene.
