A 37-year-old man was arrested after a young man was filmed driving a truck on a busy highway in Northern Ireland.

Images shared on Snapchat show the boy sitting in the driver’s seat while gripping the large steering wheel of the vehicle.

The boy appears to be the only person in control of the truck as it travels in the center lane of a freeway in Tyrone County.

In the images, a man sitting on the passenger side of the vehicle says off camera, “Are you okay, boy?”

The child responds while driving: “Yes.”

A car is seen passing the truck as the short video comes to an end.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland’s (PSNI) Road Surveillance Unit said a man was arrested and released on bail in connection with the video.

The force said: “A 37-year-old man arrested by agents of the PSNI Road Police Unit investigating an incident in which an online video of a boy driving a truck was shared was released on bail pending more research.

“A man has been arrested by police investigating video showing a boy apparently driving a truck on a freeway in Co Tyrone.”
