Hanover Street was closed by emergency services after a man was reported to have fallen from a multi-story parking lot.

Police, paramedics and firefighters are on the scene in Liverpool city center.

Investigations into the circumstances are said to be ongoing.

Emergency services were called to Hanover Street at 8.25 p.m. after reports that a man had fallen from the roof of a parking lot in the area.

A passerby, who asked to remain anonymous, told ECHO: “Police have cordoned off Home Bargains and behind the nearby parking lot.

“A National Express coach had to make a Tesco U-turn and there’s a tape blocking it.”

A Merseyside Police spokesman said: “We can confirm that we are currently dealing with an incident in Liverpool city center.

“We were contacted at 8.25pm ​​tonight, following reports that a man had fallen from the roof of a multi-story parking lot on Hanover Street.

“Emergency services are currently on site and investigations into the incident are ongoing.

“Hannover Street has been closed to traffic and detours have been established.”
