Two men lie dead and 14 more have suffered knife attacks in a harrowing weekend of violence in London.
The Metropolitan Police maintain that at this stage none of the attacks is linked and is asking for the public’s help to catch those responsible.
The violence began on Friday, February 5, when a man’s face was cut off in Hatton Gardens and in the most recent attack a man was stabbed to death yesterday (February 6) night in Kilburn.
The violence spans ten incidents, mostly in south London, with seven of the victims stabbed in the Croydon district.

On Friday, a 22-year-old man was killed at Selhurst in Croydon and the investigation is being treated as murder.
There were also knife attacks in Brent, Westminster, Wandsworth, Camden and Bromley with at least one victim still in critical condition.
Various sections of Section 60 are in effect throughout the capital, giving police enhanced powers to stop and search.
Saturday 6 February
Pimlico
A 15-year-old is being treated at a hospital after he was stabbed in Pimlico on Saturday.
The teenager was transferred for medical attention after police were called to Churchill Gardens Estate in Westminster shortly after 6 p.m.
Police have said his injuries are not life altering and no arrests have been made at this time.
Kilburn
One man died in Kilburn and another was left in critical condition after a double stabbing.
Police were called around 5.40pm for the Willesden Lane incident, where they found two men with stab wounds.
Sadly, one of the men, in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene and the second victim, believed to be in his teens, was taken to hospital. where his condition has been assessed as critical.
There have been no arrests and an urgent investigation is underway to establish all the circumstances.
West croydon
The London Ambulance Service alerted police that a 24-year-old man had been stabbed on London Road in West Croydon at 3.07pm.
He was taken to the hospital where his injuries were assessed as non-fatal.
Coulsdon
At 11.20 a.m. As of yesterday morning, officers were called to report a fight in Hadleigh Grove, Couldson, where they found a man in his 20s who had been stabbed.
He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and two men have been arrested in connection with that incident.
Friday February 5
Central croydon
At 9:12 p.m. M., Police were called to an address on Dingwall Road in downtown Croydon where a man in his 40s was found suffering a stab wound.
He was rushed to hospital for treatment, where he currently remains and, fortunately, his condition is not life-threatening.
He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of fighting and a 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of GBH and remains in custody.
As the Crime Specialist Command investigates the man’s death at Selhurst, the other four incidents are being investigated by local officers from the Southern Area Basic Command Unit.
Chiselhurst
At 8:51 pm, police received a report of two men, in their 30s, arriving at a South London hospital with stab wounds.
Both men are reported to have suffered injuries during an incident at Jay Gardens in Chislehurst, Bromley.
Neither man’s injuries are life threatening and there have been no arrests so far.
Selhurst assassination
The fatal stabbing occurred on Wisbeach Road in Selhurst, Croydon at approximately 8.10pm on Friday, February 5, and is being investigated by homicide detectives from the Crime Specialist Command.
Police have confirmed that a 22-year-old man was killed and the investigation is being treated as murder.
Family members have been informed and a post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course.
Officers were also informed that another man had been stabbed during the incident, but had been taken to hospital prior to the arrival of the police.
His condition is not life-threatening and his family members are aware of the incident.
Detective Chief Inspector Martin Thorpe of Specialist Crime said: “We know that a group of men attended the address and an altercation occurred that resulted in the victim being fatally stabbed.
“I would ask any local resident who has seen or heard something shortly after 8pm on Friday night to contact the police; No matter how insignificant you think your information may be, it could help us piece together what happened.
“I am aware that this was one of several violent incidents in and around the South London area on Friday night, but there is nothing linking these incidents together at this time.
“A young man has lost his life in a senseless act of violence, leaving his family devastated. If you can help us find who is responsible for this attack, I urge you to get in touch immediately. “

Furzedown
At 7.15pm, four men in their 20s showed up at a South London hospital with stab wounds.
Police confirmed they received their injuries following an altercation in the Penwortham Road area of Furzedown in Wandsworth.
Fortunately, none of his injuries are life-threatening and there have been no arrests.
Broad green
Police were also called at 6.56pm on Friday February 5 to receive reports of a man who was stabbed at a residential address on Chapman Road, Broad Green Croydon. He was taken to the hospital for treatment where his condition is not life-threatening.
Officers continue to work to establish the scene of the incident where the victim was stabbed, but there have been no arrests.
Hatton Gardens
Police were called at 5.28pm on Friday to receive reports of a fight involving a group of men in Hatton Gardens, Camden.
When the agents arrived, the group had already fled the scene and a man in his 30s was found on the street with a cut on his face.
A man, believed to be in his 30s, was taken into custody by City of London Police after a vehicle stop on Granville Street.
The victim was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service, but his condition is not life-threatening.
Police are working to track down several men and are asking for the public’s help.
