A mother was charged with murdering her five-year-old daughter after police were called to a “bloodbath” at a London home.
Sutha Sivanantham, 35, will appear in Wimbledon Magistrates Court on Friday via video link following Sayagi Sivanantham’s death in Mitcham.
The girl was found ‘lifeless’ by devastated neighbors at her home on June 30 with Sutha.
They had run to the apartment when they heard screams and said they found a ‘large bread knife’ at the scene.
Locals spoke of their shock after the couple were airlifted to hospital following the incident inside the apartment on Monarch Parade.
The child was pronounced dead shortly after arriving while the woman was in critical condition after undergoing a five-hour operation.

Detective Chief Inspector Justin Howick said at the time: ‘This is a tragic incident and we are working very hard to fully understand what has happened.
While I know that the effects of this incident will understandably shock and sadden the local community, please rest assured that we are not looking for anyone else in connection with Sayagi’s death and that there is no reason for the community to be concerned. feel fearful or alarmed.
“I would like to hear from anyone who thinks they may have information that could help our investigation.”
NHS worker and neighbor Elsa Gonzales, 47, described hearing screams and cries coming from the property, where the Sri Lankan family lived.
When he arrived with his sister, Riza Marfilla, 55, he discovered that the woman was wearing only her underwear.
She said: ‘I went next door and saw the lady on the floor covered in blood. She had what looked like a knife wound to her stomach.
A police cordon was in place at the scene of the incident, which left a child dead and a woman in critical condition.

“ I was on the phone with 999 and tried to see if the girl was likely to survive, but she seemed lifeless, there was so much blood everywhere. ”
Sayagi was attending a local Tamil class to learn her parents’ language, sources close to the family told MailOnline.
His father, Sivanantham Karunanantham, known as Suganthan, works at a Sainsbury’s store and received a call while on duty informing him of the tragedy.
Sources close to him said his wife had undergone a five-hour operation for a knife wound to the stomach and was faced with a new operation.

Paying tribute to the young woman, Ms Gonzales said: ‘She is so smart and so tough. She was always fighting with the boys when she played.
She is always smiling at me. She was such a good girl. My heart breaks for her. ‘
Another neighbor, Riza Marfilla, 55, said: ‘It’s very sad. She likes Bruno, my dog. Whenever she saw her, she yelled “Bruno!” Bruno! ”
‘She is such a sweet girl.’

I didn’t see them yesterday. I didn’t see them on Monday or Tuesday. Around 4 pm yesterday, there was a helicopter and the police blocked the road.
Last Monday it was all smiles. She spoke and said, how are you? I don’t know what could have happened. ‘
The street outside the property, which is in a parade of shops near the Mitcham Library, was closed for several hours after the tragedy.
Witnesses filmed the police response and the helicopter that was taking the two victims to hospital.
Siobhain McDonagh, Labor MP for Mitcham and Morden, tweeted: “Truly tragic events in Mitcham over the past 2 days. My condolences to family and friends.
“My thoughts are also with the neighbors and residents who have witnessed such a tragedy.”
