A victim is in critical condition after the gun attack on Middleton Road, Hackney. Reports claim that gunfire was heard in the area around 9.45pm, with a large cordon installed in North London. The Metropolitan Police have said no arrests have been made at this time and are asking for witnesses to appear.

Hackney police tweeted a statement reporting the incident and requesting more information on any suspects.
They said: “We are dealing with a shooting around 9.45pm on Middleton Road, E8.
“Three men were taken to hospital with gunshot wounds: one is in critical condition, the other two were less serious. No arrest.
“Witnesses please call 101 ref. 7439 / 14dec.”
Unconfirmed reports from social media have claimed that the suspects passed on a moped while shooting the victims.
Gerry Campbell MBE, a former Scotland Yard Chief Superintendent of Detectives, also reported the incident on Twitter.
He said: “The serious crisis of violence in London continues with a triple shooting in Hackney earlier tonight.
“One of the victims is apparently fighting for his life.”
