LiverpoolUnforgettable 2020
Champions Liverpool today host rivals Manchester United with first place in the Premier League at stake at Anfield.
United, who have won twenty titles, enter the long-awaited fixture in first place with 36 points, while 19-time champion Liverpool is third, three points behind the Red Devils with a superior goal difference. The last time the two teams met, Jurgen Klopp’s players won 2-0 at Anfield, but United have momentum and will be pleased with their chances here; Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team have won four of their last five in the top flight, while Liverpool lost the last time after two consecutive draws.
With the midpoint of the Premier League season fast approaching, a victory could prove pivotal in the title race, especially if United can clinch the victory and extend their lead over Liverpool to six points. Leicester, however, should not be overlooked as they are in second place as things stand, just one point behind United after an additional game played. The Foxes defeated Southampton 2-0 on Saturday night to overtake Klopp’s team in qualifying.

United remain on top, three points ahead of Liverpool and two ahead of Leicester. Manchester City will move up to second place if they beat Crystal Palace in the last match of the day, and Pep Guardiola’s side will still have a game in hand over their title rivals.

FULL TIME: LIVERPOOL 0-0 MANCHESTER UNITED
That’s! Nothing comes out of the free throw. A match that promised so much ends in a draw, with Liverpool powerless in attack and United cautious, wary of losing. The point will satisfy Ole Gunnar Solskjaer more than Jurgen Klopp, although both sides will likely be happy under the circumstances.

United seem to have realized that there are vulnerabilities in this Liverpool team and are playing a lot more adventure at the end. They are also making a final attack change: Greenwood replaces Fernandes, who is unhappy with his retirement.
Liverpool, meanwhile, bring Milner to Wijnaldum.

Alisson is called into action again when Pogba earns his header from the United corner and heads the ball into Rashford’s path. The goalkeeper gets big and saves, although anyway the flag is up for offside.

Opportunity! Wan-Bissaka has a rare forward foray and cuts the ball to Pogba, who finds the ball at his feet in front of the goal a few yards away. It seems sure he will score, but Alisson is up to the task. Great save by the Liverpool goalkeeper.
