Crystal Palace Chairman Pours Cold Water On Brewster’s Bid Reports
Rhian Brewster has been the subject of sustained interest in the Premier League throughout the closed season, with reports from Sky Sports suggesting that Crystal Palace had put Liverpool’s resolve to the test with an offer of £ 19m plus add-ons for the forward. Under-21 from England.

Liverpool not looking for a new center-back despite injury concerns
Liverpool faced a defensive mini-crisis over the weekend, with injuries to Joel Matip and Joe Gomez forcing them to play Fabinho in center back against Chelsea.
The Reds have been linked to a number of defensive options over the summer, following the sale of Dejan Lovren to Zenit St Petersburg.
However, according to The Athletic, Klopp is happy with the options at his disposal and Liverpool will not be moved by Schalke’s Ozan Kabak despite reports linking the Turkish international to an Anfield trade.
The report suggests Fabinho is considered a fourth-choice center-back for the Reds, behind Virgil van Dijk, Gomez and Matip, with the appearance of young Frenchman Billy Koumetio ensuring the champions have sufficient coverage at the position.
Koumetio, who signed his first professional contract during the summer, was among Liverpool’s substitutes for the Community crest, but was not on the day’s squad against Chelsea.
Thiago ‘met with Barcelona’ before opting for Liverpool
Liverpool rookie Thiago has already shown what he can offer his new club, with an impressive 45-minute outing against Chelsea.
Liverpool needed patience before completing a move for the former Bayern Munich player, but it seems they weren’t the only club willing to sign him.
According to Cadena Ser, through Sport Witness, Barcelona had a face-to-face meeting with Thiago before Liverpool’s signing was secured, in an effort to convince him to return to Camp Nou after seven years away.

However, according to the report, the 29-year-old was not swayed by his desire to move to the Premier League, while Barca may have been excluded from a move regardless.
