A busy main street in Liverpool is currently closed after an accident.
Police are currently on the scene on Walton Road, following reports of an accident between A5058 Queens Drive and Spellow Lane.
Travel Monitor Inrix says: “A59 Walton Road in both directions closed, slow traffic due to accident from A5058 Queens Drive to Spellow Lane.”
In a tweet, the Road Traffic Police warned drivers to avoid the area and seek an alternative route.
The tweet reads: Police are currently dealing with a RTC along County Road, Walton, this is between Wilburn Street and Harlech Street. The road is currently blocked, please find an alternative route.
