Emergency services remain at the scene of a major fire at an industrial estate in Harlow.
A total of ten fire crews from across the county were called to the fire in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday, November 11).
The 999 call came in at 12:33 a.m. and when firefighters arrived at the scene shortly after the unit, on Perry Road in Harlow, Essex, was fully powered up.
Crews are working to surround the fire, including using an aerial ladder platform to spray water on the fire from above.
Residents living nearby have been advised to keep doors and windows closed due to the volume of smoke.
At 2.30 am, firefighters were still on the scene and continued to work hard to control the fire.
According to the Essex County Fire and Rescue Incident Log, “good progress is being made.”
At this initial stage, it is not known what caused the fire.
