What are the three levels?
The three levels represent an increasing scale of local restrictions depending on the infection rates in those areas …
Level one
The level one restrictions are believed to be the basic restrictions in place across England, including a 10pm curfew and a ban on most gatherings of more than six people.
Level two
The level two restrictions are expected to be similar to the rules currently in effect in Middlesbrough and parts of the Northeast, where indoor home mixing is not allowed.
Two households may be allowed to meet in a private garden, provided the rule of six and social distancing are followed.
Level three
Many details have yet to be confirmed, but leaders in Liverpool said pubs and bars, sportsbooks, casinos and gyms would close under “very high” third-tier restrictions, while reports also suggest People will have to avoid all travel and not travel between areas.
According to Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen, these restrictions are expected to last four weeks at a time.
