Lewis Hamilton tops the Sunday Times rich sports list after winning his sixth world title, bringing his fortune to £ 224 million and breaking David Beckham’s all-time high.

Hamilton reached his sixth world title in 2019, which has helped bring his fortune to £ 224 million.

His wealth has increased by £ 37m over the past year and, due to an ongoing lucrative contract with Mercedes, has taken his earnings beyond the £ 200m mark that David Beckham reached when he retired from football in 2013.
