The latest COVID-19 cluster map for Devon shows 60 new coronaviruses in Exeter and several new clusters in Devon.
While many cities have only a few cases of the virus, COVID-19 has certainly spread across the county and new clusters have appeared in Teignbidge, Torridge and Mid-Devon and the North, East and West Devon areas.
However, in Torbay there has been a decrease in the number of cases.
The COVID-19 cluster map uses data from Public Health England’s second-generation surveillance system (SGSS) to show the pockets of Devon where coronavirus cases are increasing.
The map does this by highlighting which areas of the city have three or more confirmed cases of the virus and coordinating the color of the areas based on how many cases they have.
The map is divided into areas, officially known as Medium Super Exit Areas (MSOA), and each area is colored a certain shade of blue, depending on how many COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in that area.
The darker the blue in the image, the more positive cases there have been.
As of yesterday (Friday 9th October), there have been 94 positive cases in Torridge, 110 in West Devon 110, 179 in South Hams, 206 in North Devon, 281 in Mid Devon, 479 in Teignbridge, 397 in East Devon, 462 in Torbay , 1,063 in Exeter and 1,092 in Plymouth.
Here are the latest confirmed COVID-19 clusters for Devon:
