Emergency crews are dealing with a large explosion at a warehouse in Avonmouth, near Bristol.
The South Western Ambulance Service said it was responding to a “serious incident.”
Fire crews were called at 11:20 am and have confirmed that there have been “casualties,” reports The Bristol Post.
Photos from the scene showed police cars, fire trucks and a helicopter present.
An image appears to show a damaged tank.
Another shows what looks like smoke coming from behind a mound.
Witness Jawad Burhan said he had seen a helicopter “looking for missing persons” and that the police had closed a road near the tank which he claimed was part of a waste center.
He said: “I heard the sound, I am working next to the building in another warehouse. After ten minutes I saw the helicopter and the police coming.”
