Large explosion near Bristol in ‘serious incident’ | UK News

Emergency crews are dealing with a large explosion at a warehouse in Avonmouth, near Bristol.

The South Western Ambulance Service said it was responding to a “serious incident.”

Fire crews were called at 11:20 am and have confirmed that there have been “casualties,” reports The Bristol Post.

Witness Jawad Burhan said he had seen a helicopter “looking for missing persons” and that the police had closed a road near the tank which he claimed was part of a waste center.

He said: “I heard the sound, I am working next to the building in another warehouse. After ten minutes I saw the helicopter and the police coming.”
