Lack of holiday rotation leads to Bamford, Dallas, Taylor, and Raphinha starting on Elland Road

Pascal Struijk (£ 3.9m) replace an injured Liam cooper (£ 4.4 million) at the heart of Leeds United’s defense in an unchanged lineup from the team that lost 6-2 to Manchester United.

They face Burnley just two days before the holiday chaos takes them to West Bromwich Albion, but head coach Marcelo Bielsa has decided not to rotate popular FPL assets like Patrick Bamford (£ 6.4 million), Stuart dallas (£ 4.7 million), Mateusz klich (£ 5.5 million) and Raphinha (£ 5.4 million).

Captain Cooper exited the procedure at Old Trafford with an abdominal injury to exacerbate the defensive crisis he has seen Robin koch (£ 4.4 million) discarded until March and Diego Llorente (£ 4.4 million) suffer from muscle problems, so they move Luke ayling (£ 4.5 million) in the center of the back and restricting his attacking potential. Instead, Dallas has gone ahead to score in its last two games.

The Whites play an entertaining style of rock and roll football that has contributed at least five goals in six of their 14 league games this season. Only Liverpool have been involved in more goals than their 54, and they are also second only to the champions in both goal attempts and xG (expected goals).

They have more shots inside the box than everyone else, but on defense they are the third worst in shots received and their xGC (expected goals conceded) is only ahead of West Brom.

These stats are encouraging for Bamford’s owners, as they suggest that his fantastic nine-goal, three-assist comeback isn’t a purple patch. The standout cheap forward, his 47 shots in the area are a league record. Bamford will face his former club, having made six appearances for Burnley during the 2016-17 season.

However, opposing him is Charlie taylor (£ 4.5m), a man who started his career at Leeds and played 93 times as a left back before moving to Turf Moor. On the radars of many FPL coaches right now after four clean sheets from seven games, Taylor helped Ashley barnes‘(£ 6.0 million) goal against Wolves last Monday.

Manager Sean Dyche has also resisted the Christmas rotation, despite having only one full day off before hosting Sheffield United. Their only changes since the 2-1 win over the Wolves eliminate two players who took hits that night: Dwight McNeil (£ 5.7 million) and Robbie brady (£ 5.0 million). Instead it comes Josh benson (4.5 million pounds sterling) and the Erik pieters (4.3 million pounds sterling).

Burnley is unbeaten in four games, gaining momentum as they try to escape a bout for relegation. The underlying stats are still poor, with the fewest goal attempts in the league (117), the fewest shots (36) and the third fewest set pieces. They trust Nick pope (£ 5.4 million) and Chris Wood (£ 6.2 million) to step up and bring it to the table.

Leeds United XI: Meslier; Dallas, Ayling, Struijk, Alioski; Phillips, Klich; Raphinha, Rodrigo, Harrison; Bamford

Burnley XI: Father; Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee, Taylor; Westwood, Brownhill, Pieters, Benson; Wood, Barnes
