Kim Kardashian has revealed her devastation over Brandon Bernard’s execution in Indiana.
Bernard is scheduled to be executed Thursday at a prison in Terre Haute, Indiana.
He was previously convicted of the murder of Todd and Stacie Bagley in June 1999.
Bernard was part of a group of five involved teens who forced the couple into the back of their car in Texas and Christopher Vialva, 19, shot the couple.
After the shooting, Bernard set the car on fire.
Bernard’s defense attorneys argued that both were likely killed before the car caught fire.
Instead, the government argued that while this was true for Todd, there was evidence of soot on Stacie’s lungs.

Bernard’s defense also argued that he was afraid of Vialva and followed his orders.
Others involved did not receive as harsh a sentence as they were minors and only received a prison sentence.
Lawyers and activist Kim Kardashian have argued that Bernard’s sentence should be commuted to a life sentence.
The social media star has asked President Donald Trump to grant Brandon the commutation.

Kim tweeted Wednesday: “Brandon Bernard, a 40 year old father will be executed tomorrow by our federal government. Having met Brandon, I am heartbroken by this execution. I ask @realDonaldTrump to grant Brandon a commutation and allow him to live out his sentence in prison “.
She added: “Most of the time executions happen, on our behalf, without much attention. This is unacceptable. For the next 24 hours I will be tweeting about Brandon and his case and why his life should be spared by @realDonaldTrump.”
Kim continued to encourage calling a phone number to encourage President Trump to commute Brandon’s sentence.

Late Wednesday, Kim tweeted: “#BrandonBernard should not be executed: 1. He was 18 at the time. 2. He was not the shooter. 3. The prosecutor and 5 of the jurors now support clemency. 4 He has spent decades in prison without a brief, helping at-risk youth. 5. There is bipartisan support for his commutation. “
Every hour before Brandon’s execution, Kim has been tweeting her despair and upset over the situation with Brandon.
On Thursday morning, Kim tweeted: “For #HumanRightsDay, let’s take a moment to acknowledge the humanity of the men and women who live behind bars here in the United States. I have met so many amazing people inside prisons and jails. What’s so special about someone you know who is or has been incarcerated? “

She wrote: “I have been crying all morning. Brandon Bernard will be executed in 6 hours.”
An hour later, Kim tweeted: “Brandon Bernard will be executed in 5 hours and all I can think about is his family and children and how they will feel when their loved one is gone.”
She added: “Something special I learned about #BrandonBernard is that in addition to her youth work, she also loves to knit. She told me this week that she would like to have more time before her execution so she can weave a blanket.”
An hour later, he wrote: “4 hours until Brandon Bernard is executed [hearbreak emoji]”.
The next hour, he wrote: “Brandon Bernard will be executed in 3 hours. [heartbreak emoji]”.

Then he added: “Terrible news from the Seventh Circuit: ORDERED that the Emergency Motion to Stay the Appeal Pending Execution is DENIED. That’s why judges matter. #SaveBrandonBernard.”
Kim then tweeted: “2 hours until Brandon Bernard is executed. My heart breaks for everyone involved, including the families of the victims, and I am in no way diminishing the loss his family has gone through.”
She clarified: “I stick to what I’ve always said, I can empathize and feel pain for the victims and their families. Killing Brandon will not bring them back and I believe in my heart that killing him is not right. What Brandon did was wrong. But killing him won’t fix things. “
Kim later wrote: “1 hour until Brandon Bernard is executed. It is #Human Rights Day= and here in the United States we are executing someone who was 18 years old at the time of the crime, was not the shooter and has been rehabilitated. So embarrassing. “

Kim then revealed that she had a devastating final call with Brandon.
She wrote in the hour before her execution: “I just spoke to Brandon for what will probably be the last time. The hardest call I have ever had. Brandon, selfless as ever, focused on his family and made sure they were there. good”. He told me not to cry because our fight is not over.
“When he told me he’s claustrophobic and they offered to give him a sedative injection to calm him down before they put him in the chair and he just didn’t want to panic, I literally lost him. I had to silence my phone so he wouldn’t hear me cry So “
The reality star added, “We didn’t say goodbye because we wanted to hope to talk again, we said we’ll talk soon!”
Brandon Bernard will become the youngest criminal to be executed by the United States government in nearly seven decades.
