Kieran Trippier’s 10-week global ban from soccer for breaking betting rules needs to be re-evaluated, according to Atlético de Madrid coach Diego Simeone, who says the punishment unfairly harms the La Liga club.
Tripper was fined £ 70,000 by the Football Association and suspended for 10 weeks from all football and soccer activities for four infractions of a rule that prevents players from providing information to others about their position that is not publicly available at that moment.
