KATE Garraway revealed that her husband, Derek Draper, is still in a “very critical condition” after testing positive for coronavirus.
The Good Morning Britain hostess, 52, updated fans about her husband’s health on Thursday when she joined the nation in applauding for the NHS.

As for Instagram, Kate wrote: “From the bottom of my heart, a billion thanks to the extraordinary #nhsworkers whose skills, dedication, and guts in the face of so much personal risk, keep my Derek alive, just as they are doing. thousands of greedy patients.
“I am afraid he is still in a deeply critical condition, but he is still here, which means there is hope.”
“Send so much love and support to the thousands of people who have hoped that their loved ones have been robbed by this horrible disease. You are not alone and I hope that it will help you resist the torture of pain.”
“Thanks, too, to my own little band of ‘key workers’, the neighbors who left fireworks tonight for the #nhs, gave the Easter bunny a hand to make life feel a little more normal for Darcey and Billy, those who have left food, friends, family and all of you who have sent messages of love and support, it is a great comfort.

A week later Kate revealed that she had been “terribly concerned” about Derek, who was still “very sick” in the hospital with the deadly Covid-19.
He gave an emotional update to his Good Morning Britain cast, Ben Shephard, to read.
Ben told viewers: “I am afraid it is still a terribly worrying time.
“The NHS team that has been working on him has been extraordinary and I know it is only his professionalism, dedication and bravery that has kept Derek with us so far. Thank you it just doesn’t seem like enough.”
Derek, Kate’s husband, was rushed to the hospital earlier this month, where he tested positive for coronavirus.
