Jurgen Klopp has revealed what he told Bernd Leno after the Arsenal goalkeeper helped pull Liverpool out of the Carabao Cup.
Leno made saves by Divock Origi and Harry Wilson to send the Reds to a 5-4 loss on penalties at Anfield on Thursday.
Liverpool had dominated for 90 minutes without goals, but could not overcome Leno, who saved well from Diogo Jota, Virgil van Dijk and Marko Grujic.
And Klopp said: “I told him after the game, I was not very happy about it!
“We had very good times. As a coach, I would like to score, but I want to see us create.

“Yes, the guys can play better, but I’m not sure they can play better after two days of training against a changed Arsenal.”
Both teams featured heavily changed lineups compared to Monday’s Premier League clash, which Liverpool won 3-1.
And Klopp added: “They also did their analysis and they didn’t give us the space like in the last game. You have to learn from the game and I think the boys did very well.
“We defended them very well and we played very good football.
“Diogo had some good moments, his physique with his technique was really good to see.
“We showed the quality, it just didn’t work out tonight and that’s completely fine. We will try again, I promise. “
