Tottenham continued on their way to victory with a 4-0 demolition of Ludogorets in the Europa League on Thursday night.

Carlos Vinicius (2), Harry Winks and Lucas Moura were all on the roster when the Spurs posted a 4-0 victory.

The best goal of the lot was undoubtedly Winks, who came in the 63rd minute.

The English midfielder picked up the ball that was sticking out from inside Ludogerets’ field.

He then threw the ball towards the goal from 55 yards, which fooled the goalkeeper and went to the net after cutting the crossbar.

A crazy goal, but was it intentional?

Many football fans believed that Winks was looking for Gareth Bale, who was getting into the Ludogorets box.

And the 24-year-old admitted after the game that his effort was intended to be a pass.

“I would love to sit here and say yes, but I have to be honest and say no,” the English international told BT Sport, according to Goal.

“I saw Gaz (Gareth Bale) come in. I’ll take it at the end of the day. It’s been a while [since I last scored] but I’m happy with the way the team played. “

José Mourinho was asked about Winks’ comments in his post-match interview and had a brilliant reaction.

José Mourinho, Spurs coach

In an interview with BT Sport, Mourinho claimed that he was not happy with Winks.

“He’s too honest! I’m not happy with him! With a goal like that you have to say you mean it, but a good boy. He’s honest,” he said.

And in a separate interview, he joked that he should have claimed it for a chance to win the Puskas Award.

“Winks was honest and said in a flash interview that he wanted to play a diagonal ball to Bale,” he said.

“If it was me, I would have said that I meant it and would have won the Puskas award.”

Classic Jose. It was a comment that went down very well with Spurs fans and you can see some of the best reactions below.

Spurs are now in a great position to qualify for the knockout stages of the Europa League.

They have accumulated nine points in their first four games and will qualify for the next round if they beat LASK next Thursday.
