Lord Alan Sugar has ‘fired’ Donald Trump as president, after losing the US elections.

Joe Biden was elected to the White House after a lengthy vote recount, and Pennsylvania awarded him electoral votes to finally push him over the edge.

As celebrities around the world reacted to the news, Lord Sugar couldn’t resist investigating his former US Apprentice.

On Twitter, the 73-year-old reveled in the moment, writing his iconic catchphrase.

He wrote: ‘. @ RealDonaldTrump we’re sorry. You are fired!’

The BBC star wasn’t the only person to make the joke, as ‘you’re fired’ quickly started trending on Twitter after news organizations called out for Biden’s win.

It was announced on Saturday that the Democratic nominee has been elected as the 46th president of the United States, and will take office in January.

Biden’s victory also means that Kamala Harris made history by being named vice president, the highest-ranking politician in the history of the United States.

She is also the highest-ranking African American and Native American to hold political office in the United States.

“I hope that people whose voices have been oppressed by power know that their voices were heard.”

Struggling to recover, she added: ‘I’m just…. Honestly, I’m a bit speechless. This is a very, very special day.

“It is a day in which many people who felt that we lived in a state of terror and aggression all the time, it is over. Now you can feel hot.
