An exclusive Express.co.uk poll found that a large majority of readers felt the two former leaders had gone too far in condemning Prime Minister Johnson’s UK domestic market bill before its second reading in the Commons.
A staggering 94 percent (13,789 people) said Sir John and Blair were wrong to intervene.
Only six percent (922 people) said they were right to get involved and 57 people said they didn’t know.
One irate reader said: “Major and Blair are instrumental in creating the current mess that the UK and Parliament are now desperately trying to correct.”
Another said: “What I would like to know is how much money these pairs are paying outside the EU.
“Someone knows because although several people have mentioned it and it should be made public.
“People can then decide whether Blair and Major are being totally honest about their advice giving efforts.”
Another reader said: “I always wonder why former prime ministers think they are relevant in politics after being removed from office.
“The simple fact that they are former prime ministers should tell them that they lost popularity a while ago.”

And another said: “If they have the right to intervene with a view to diluting Brexit, then I have the right to stop them.
“They both voted as I did and are not allowed to intervene in a UK democratic decision.
“Of course they can have and express an opinion, but that’s it.”
The two former prime ministers launched a joint attack on Johnson’s Brexit legislation, which they warned was jeopardizing the Irish peace process, trade negotiations and the integrity of the UK.
Writing in today’s Sunday Times, they said: “It puts the Good Friday Agreement at risk, because it denies the predictability, political stability and legal clarity that are integral to the delicate balance between the north and south of Ireland that is the core of the peace process.
“This has far-reaching ramifications. It will not only make negotiations with the EU difficult, but also any trade negotiations with other nations, including the United States.”
“Once trust is undermined, distrust prevails.”

They continued: “We both opposed Brexit. We both accept that it is happening now.
“But this way of negotiating, with reason pushed aside for ideology and arrogant bombast that masquerades as serious diplomacy, is irresponsible, wrong in principle, and dangerous in practice.
“It raises questions that go far beyond the impact on Ireland, the peace process and the negotiations for a trade agreement, although they are crucial. It questions the very integrity of our nation.”
A total of 14,768 Express.co.uk readers took part in the online survey that ran from 11.30am to 9.30pm tonight.
