I’m a celebrity … Get me out of here! Hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly tackled the uproar for Saturday night’s recap show with a cheeky gag.
Viewers had complained that six days wasn’t long enough to need a recap show and complained that they were showing clips that fans had already seen.
Dec said: “Hi, good evening, welcome to Wales where we have a great 75 minute episode for you.
“And we’re fully live with no featured package in sight!”

Ant continued, “Yeah, thanks for all your posts on last night’s pre-recorded highlights show.”
Dec chimed in: “It wasn’t just highlights! There were a lot of invisible images.”
Ant joked: “We really appreciate the feedback, although I must point out that, medically, I can’t do that to myself.”
“The show tonight is great,” said Dec.

“It should be so, it takes two days to do!” Ant commented.
“Less than two days after you voted for a camp leader, the winner was in office!” said dec.
“I’ll say it before and I’ll say it again, they should have done the American elections through the I’m a Celebrity app,” Ant joked.
That wasn’t the only reference to the US election the duo made, but they also made a very cheeky joke about Donald Trump.
They discussed the fact that many of the camp companions had suffered gas during the night, due to their diet of rice and beans.
That’s the problem with Trump, “said Dec.
“It remains for centuries that are impossible to get rid of and causes a real stench.”
One viewer tweeted: ” @antanddec They are just great, right?
“Addressing the recap program last night was a complete failure.”
“So I appreciate the apology for the summary on Saturday …” wrote another.
“Ant and Dec reading all the salty tweets about the ‘recap’ episode after 6 days on …” joked a third.
A fourth gushed: ” @antanddec completely getting the p ** s out of the recap show situation that’s why I absolutely love them. ”
