If you think the moon is bright and glorious tonight, just wait what comes

The moon has been hanging in the deep blue sunset sky on Tuesday night, creating a breathtaking view for those watching from their closed homes.

But while it looks great, it’s not super. Still.

You have to wait two more days for a supermoon, the last one in 2020 after other supermoons in March and April.

The lunar object still has a little way to go until it is at its closest point to our planet.

This is when the moon appears much larger and brighter in the sky.

So feast your eyes on the moon tonight and get ready for more goodies on Thursday with a flower moon.

A woman said on Twitter tonight: “I saw him about 10 minutes ago and I thought wow!”

Others have left and even the children grabbed the parents’ iPhones to try to capture the magnificence of the moon.

According to NASA, the term Flower of the Moon was given by the tribes of North America, since flowers are abundant at this time of year.

On average, the Moon is 238,000 miles from Earth, but during a Supermoon it can be 221,000 miles from our planet.

This is because the Moon’s orbit is not a perfect circle and is actually slightly oval.
