Media personality Holly has been the face of This Morning since she replaced Fern Britton in September 2009, frequently taking breaks from work to spend time with her family during midterms and summer vacations.

The former Celebrity Juice panelist, who shares her children with her husband of 12 years, Dan Baldwin, spoke about experiencing the guilt of a working mother in a candid interview with Red Magazine.

The TV star confessed that she never imagined juggling motherhood with a career when she dreamed of having a family.

She explained: ‘Becoming a mother was the only thing I knew I definitely wanted when I was little, but the image that had never involved me was being a working mother and that has been the biggest challenge.

I have been plagued by guilt for having made a mistake in that part. You love them so much and you don’t want to spoil them.

Holly said her work schedule meant she missed key days in her children’s lives.

The Brighton native added: ‘I really didn’t deliver on Harry or Belle’s first day of school because I was working. I hate not being there because those are memories you can’t get back.

“But I’ve come to realize that the only way I can combat those feelings is to accept that sometimes I don’t do it right, and that’s okay.”

The TV star added that she is ‘lucky’ to be able to greet her children after school and be there on the weekends.

Fatherhood is the number one priority in Holly’s life, so much so that she took her kids out of school when she took over for Ant McPartlin during the 2018 edition of I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! in Australia.
