Health chiefs have warned the public to ignore a WhatsApp voice message that makes a series of alarming claims about the coronavirus pandemic.
The message, from an unknown woman, has been rejected by Public Health England as “fake news”.
The information claims it came from PHE, saying that ambulances will no longer be dispatched to those struggling to breathe since Thursday, and patients are expected to manage symptoms at home.
He also claims that every morgue in the UK is full and bodies are now being shipped “to every ice skating rink in the UK.”
The recording also states that up to 300 children a day without underlying health conditions would die at the peak of the outbreak.

Outdoor exercise will be banned starting next week, the woman says, and street marshals will make sure people have passes to get out of their homes.
However, both PHE and the Southeast Coast Ambulance Service, which is mentioned in the note, have refuted the claims.

In an attempt to curb the spread of fake news, the social media platform has introduced new, stricter limits on message forwarding.
Now, when users receive a message that has already been forwarded frequently, they can only forward it to one chat at a time.
Previously, such messages could be forwarded to five different chats at once.
Other false claims have included those with virus cures and conspiracy theories linking the outbreak to 5G technology.
