Three people were rushed to hospital after an explosion tore through a house and reduced it to smoking rubble.

The explosion occurred shortly after 7:30 a.m. Saturday in the Illingworth area of ​​Halifax, West Yorkshire.

The West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the blast affected one building, while six surrounding houses were evacuated as a safety measure.

All have been accounted for.

Investigations into the cause of the blast continue as firefighters address the “remaining sources of fire.”
