Gwyneth Paltrow raised her eyebrows at her unique baby name choice in 2004 when she introduced her daughter Apple to the world.
And while she became one of the most outrageous names in Hollywood at the time, the actress ‘choice seems pretty common compared to Elon Musk and Grimes’ baby name choice, which was unveiled this week.
Gwyneth couldn’t help but laugh about it while posting a comment on Elon’s newscast: “#chrismartin I think we were beaten for the most controversial baby name”

After welcoming her first child with the singer, her real name Claire Elise Boucher, earlier this week, Elon revealed the baby’s very unusual name; X Æ A-12.
Speaking on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast after his birth, the billionaire tried to explain how to pronounce his son’s name.

Elon explained that Grimes “mostly came up with the name,” adding: “Yes, she is great at names.”
X Æ A-12 is Grimes’ first child, while Elon has five children with his ex-wife Justine Wilson. The former couple also had a son, Nevada, but died of sudden infant death syndrome at 10 weeks in 2002.

Elon, 48, revealed that he “appreciates” being an older father and is in love with little X Æ A-12. He said: ‘Actually I think it is better to be older and have a child. I appreciate it more. Babies are great. They are little love bugs. Wonderful, it’s great.
Gwyneth spoke about the name of her first child in an interview with Oprah in 2004, revealing that it was the Coldplay musician who devised Apple.
“When we were pregnant for the first time, her dad said, ‘If it’s a girl, I think her name should be Apple.’
‘It sounded so sweet, and it conjured up such a charming image to me, you know. Apples are so sweet and healthy, and it’s biblical. She explained.
