64 more people have died in Greater Manchester hospitals after contracting the coronavirus, the largest daily increase in deaths in the region since April 21.
In total, it is the third highest daily increase in Greater Manchester since the start of the pandemic.
It means that the death toll in the region has exceeded 3,000; it is now 3,027.
Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust reported the highest number, with another 24 deaths.
In the past 24 hours, 22 deaths were reported by the Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and another seven deaths were recorded by the Bolton NHS Foundation Trust.
There have been four more deaths at the Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, two more deaths were reported by the Stockport NHS Foundation Trust, and another five deaths were recorded by the Tameside & Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Across England, another 300 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in hospital.
It brings the total number of confirmed deaths reported in hospitals to 34,963, NHS England said on Tuesday.
The patients were between 35 and 100 years old.
NHS England provides an update on Covid-19 related deaths every day.
The figures do not include deaths in nursing homes or other settings.
