An accident involving an ambulance and a car sparked a massive emergency response this morning.
It happened around 7:30 am at the junction of Breeze Hill and Southport Road, in Bootle, outside The Mons pub.
Around five police cars, a fire truck, two rapid response vehicles and two ambulances were dispatched to the scene.
A silver Nissan Qashqai was put aside and the ambulance was also said to have “rolled.”
Fortunately, no one was seriously injured in the incident.
A spokesman for the Northwest Ambulance Service (NWAS) said: “We responded with a number of resources after the road collision, consisting of two rapid response vehicles and two ambulances.
“There were three people tested at the scene, including two members of the ambulance service staff.
“There were no patients on board the ambulance.
“After all the people were evaluated, they were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.”
It is not known at this time if the ambulance, with two crew members on board, was responding to a call at the time of the collision.
The car was driven by a man.
