Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid seemed pretty guilty, as she seemed to have screwed up a big secret to the show too soon.
She quickly protested although she stated that this was not the case, but Piers Morgan believed otherwise.
The hosts were arguing about Colonel Tom Moore, 100, who later appeared on the show to reveal a surprise.
He has two books coming out, it has been confirmed, while Piers was confused by the big reveal.
Piers had the impression that it was a GMB exclusive, or at least the looks of the books, only for Susanna to enthusiastically reveal everything.
He had said: “We have the great colonel Tom as he is now, formerly captain, of course, but promoted by the queen.”
Susanna added: “He doesn’t have one, but two books coming out and one is his autobiography.”
Then, enthusiastically, he lifted the cover and showed the book to the camera so viewers could see it.
Suddenly, Piers’s face seemed to fall on the screen as he watched her shake the book.
He said, “I think we are revealing this later, right?”
Susanna was very surprised by his claim, suddenly fearing she had spilled the beans at the wrong time while Piers continued to stare in confusion.
While looking guilty, he quickly commented that it was news, but he was not convinced.
He said, “This is like a big … you may have ruined everything.”
She replied, “No, it was in the headlines this morning as well,” and Piers continued, “Well, it shouldn’t have been because it’s supposed to be our big secret.”
After a few seconds of awkward silence, the couple laughed before continuing on with the show.
Piers told viewers: “Anyway, there we are, he has a book that will come out, two actually.”
Dr. Hilary Jones called the moment “fantastic” when Susanna concluded, “And we have it here, here we go.”
