Gary Lineker has blamed his ‘old age’ for forgetting to wear a mask after photos of him shopping naked at M&S surfaced.
The 59-year-old Match Of The Day host was photographed by a member of the public in the M&S dessert aisle in Barnes, southwest London, on Sunday.
Despite having previously criticized the ‘snowflakes’ who refused to wear a mask, Lineker did not cover his mouth and nose with no mask in sight while wandering around the store.
Lineker took to Twitter to apologize for the mistake, writing: ‘In my old age, I walked into a store and forgot to put the mask on.

I was wondering why people were giving me daggers. I realized after a couple of minutes and put it on hastily. I felt horrible and embarrassed. Apologies to those present.
Comedian David Baddiel jokingly replied, “I think we all know that you can’t make one fit your ears.”

At the beginning of the year, Lineker made his opinion very clear about the use of masks to prevent the spread of covid-19.
