Bale’s flight from Spain landed at Luton Airport at 12:25 p.m. Friday and Sergio Reguilon joined him on the plane.

The full-back agreed to a permanent change to Tottenham from Real Madrid, for a fee of around 27 million pounds.

Reguilon traveled with Bale to Tottenham’s training ground on Friday, and both men had already passed medical exams in Madrid.

The Spurs hope to announce both deals before Sunday’s game in Southampton, live on talkSPORT.

Tottenham fans everywhere will be happy to see Bale, one of the best players in the club’s history, return after seven years away.

The Spurs are expected to pay at least half of Bale’s £ 600,000 weekly salary to bring him back for the season.

However, the North London faithful should not expect to see the Welshman in action for the club anytime soon after his arrival.

According to sources from talkSPORT, the winger is not expected to play for a full month after rejoining the North London club due to a knee injury and other fitness issues.

He last played for Los Blancos in June, so he will not go directly to the side of José Mourinho, who got off to a poor start to the 2020/21 Premier League season with a 1-0 loss to Everton.

Bale’s only competitive time on the field of late has been 45 minutes against Finland and 90 against Bulgaria in recent Welsh Nations League games.

But, he could be set for a very tasty debut for Tottenham against London’s West Ham on October 17, a replay of the match that saw behind the wheel score one of his memorable Spurs goals.

It has been a very exciting transfer window week for the Spurs, and Reguilon is also set to sign imminently.

Reguilón was named left-back of the 2019/20 LaLiga season while on loan at Sevilla, but was later told he was above the requirements at the Bernabéu.

The Spanish international was strongly linked to Manchester United, but decided to join Tottenham after he was reportedly convinced by Spurs manager José Mourinho.
