Raúl Jiménez’s injury could have a galvanizing effect on Wolves, according to Chelsea manager Frank Lampard.
Forward Jiménez is recovering from surgery on the fractured skull he suffered in a nasty air crash with Arsenal’s David Luiz in late November.
Lampard was part of the Chelsea squad on the day goalkeeper Petr Cech suffered an injury similar to that of the Wolves forward against Reading in 2006.

Cech underwent surgery on a depressed skull fracture after being hit in the head by the knee of Reading midfielder Stephen Hunt and was out of the game for three months.
The Chelsea manager said: ‘It really galvanized us. We lost a great goalkeeper for a while. When you have such a critical injury, and I saw the footage of Jimenez showing up on training ground last week and seeing all of his teammates again, I’m sure it would have galvanized some strength within the group.
‘Teammates, friends within that, you care about injured players.

‘It’s very difficult when you’re injured, let alone when that injury could be a little more threatening to your health than the standard type of injury, so I’m sure it will make them stronger.
“ Obviously they miss a very good player at the same time, so it is a difficult situation, one that I do not like to see, whether it is our team as it was with Petr in the past, or an opponent that is looming.
“I prefer to play Wolves with a fit and healthy Jiménez, even though he is a first-rate player.”
