Four people rushed to the hospital with serious injuries after the “ multiple stabbing ” attack in Plymouth, as police arrested a man, aged 50, on suspicion of attempted murder.

- The suspect initially fled the scene, but a 50-year-old man has since been arrested.
- He was also taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital for medical treatment.
Four people have been rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a “multiple stabbing” attack outside a Plymouth pub.
Officers rushed to the Stoke area of the city shortly after 10 p.m. last night with reports of numerous casualties.
They received a possible clue as to the identity of the cutler, but by the time they reached his address in Breacon Park it was empty.
It was only later in Ide, outside Exeter, that the suspect was pulled over in a car and arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Officers rushed to the Stoke area of the city just after 10 p.m. last night with reports of numerous casualties.
One resident told ITV: ‘I live on Albert Road and I drove home to find it closed, but he explained that he lived here.
They told me to go in and close the doors. Multiple police cars and emergency services, including a helicopter and armed policemen.
Another resident, Winston Churchslope, posted a video of the later scene.
Speaking to the camera, he said: ‘Here on Albert Road it seems there have been quite a few stabbings.
‘This is Albert Road in Plymouth and some people have been stabbed and apparently one could be dead …
‘Apparently the [suspect] is still on the run. He has stabbed people and fled.
“This just doesn’t happen in Plymouth.”
The suspect initially fled the scene, but Devon and Cornwall police confirmed that they have since arrested a 50-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder.
The residential road remains sealed and witnesses have said that a police helicopter has been circling the scene.

A spokesperson for the force said: “ Police were called shortly after 10pm Saturday night, following a serious incident near the Railway Inn on Albert Road in the Stoke area of Plymouth.
“The police units came and found four people who had suffered serious injuries but were not life-threatening; Since then they have all been taken to Derriford Hospital for treatment.
The suspect had fled the scene when police arrived.
“Follow-up investigations meant that the armed offices went to an address in the Beacon Park area of Plymouth in an attempt to locate the suspect; it was not at the address.

Subsequent investigations and proactive police work led officers to stop a vehicle near Ide, on the outskirts of Exeter, in which they detained a man in his 50s.
The suspect had been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, but was initially taken to Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.
