Foden benched for second consecutive Premier League game

Phil Foden (£ 6.6m) is on Manchester City’s bench for the second time in two weeks of play as his team travels to face Sheffield United.

Despite coming to Gameweek 7 as the Citizens’ top pick for area shots, big chances and shots on target this season, Foden will be hopeful of getting back into an impacting backup role.

With that said, the England international got the job done last time, scoring and recording six points in a 1-1 draw with West Ham in the sixth week of the match.

And of course, this back-to-back bench is sure to slightly increase your chances of starting Gameweek 8, although you never know with Pep Guardiola.

However, the two most popular Fantasy assets on the Manchester City squad are in the starting lineup, Kevin De Bruyne (£ 11.5m) lining up in central midfield.

With 7.3% ownership, Raheem Sterling (£ 11.6 million) is still a spread, despite averaging 5.8 points per game this season.

The Englishman joins the front of three by Riyad mahrez (£ 8.4 million) and Ferran torres (£ 6.9 million) and it will be interesting to see if he returns to the position of the false nine with Sergio Aguero (£ 10.3 million) and Gabriel Jesus (£ 9.3 million), both injured

Pre-match reports suggest that Torres could be leading the line, as he did against Marseille, which could benefit Sterling better, considering his ability to cause problems in wide areas.

Guardiola confirmed that the Spaniard is taking the role of forward in his pre-match comments.

Meanwhile, Rhian Brewster (£ 4.5m) starts over for Sheffield United. It has only cost him to attract 6.8% ownership to be the most fashionable option of the Blades for Gameweek 7.

Sheffield United XI: Ramsdale; Stevens, Egan, Basham; Lowe, Osborn, Ampadu, Berge, Baldock; Brewster, McBurnie.

Manchester City XI: Ederson; Cancello, Laporte, Dias, Walker; Rodrigo, De Bruyne; Torres, B Silva, Mahrez; Pound sterling.
